About

I am Adrien Savary, a French painter based in Amsterdam. I have always been attracted to the medium, but only recently made the time to properly explore it. I am at the beginning of a journey and am currently focusing on repetition and smaller formats.

What draws me to painting is the process, the textures, the immediacy of the gesture, the accidents. I embrace the randomness of brushstrokes and colour, letting them guide me beyond what was initially planned. I look for the sense of discovery that comes with this approach.

As a painter, I like to think that I can explore ideas others have touched on before - developing them within my own abstract world to engage in my own dialogue with various periods, movements and artists.

Thank you for taking the time to explore my work. If you'd like to connect, please reach out - I'd love to hear from you.
